Debra Institute of Education and Technology, Paschim Medinipur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Debra Institute of Education and Technology was established in 2015 as a constituent college in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. This co-educational institution, approved by NCTE, runs teacher education courses. On a compact 1.13-acre campus. The faculty strength of 40 holds good for the 381 students, ensuring an excellent student-teacher ratio to observe each student's progress at the individual level.

Facilities provided to enhance greater learning and overall development consist of sports facilities in which interested sports students can get their training; an auditorium for miscellaneous events and seminars. The library is rich with resources at the center for academic research and study. At the practical learning level, Debra Institute of Education and Technology has departmental laboratories. Health and safety are taken care of through a health center that offers first-aid facilities. There are hostel facilities at the institute, where both male and female students can reside with ease and concentrate on studies amidst comfortable living conditions.

At present, the Debra Institute of Education and Technology has two prime courses, B.Ed and D.El.Ed on its platform regarding education. Both are full-time, two-year courses designed for students to pursue their careers in teaching/education.

Admission to the Debra Institute of Education and Technology shall be through a merit-based process, following the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. Admission into the B.Ed. program will be according to the policies prescribed by the State Government/UT Administration and the affiliating university. For D.El.Ed., admissions are done in accordance with the policy laid down by the State Government.
