DFS Delhi: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Diploma in financial studies is offered at the Department of Financial Studies (DFS Delhi), a constituent college of the University of Delhi, South Campus, set up in 1987. This is prestigious university established in New Delhi that focuses on the theory and practical analysis of finance. Currently, DFS Delhi is all set to provide Post Graduate and Doctoral level education programmes, with a total number of 4 Course for 2 Degree Level. The department is staffed with 9 faculty members hence there is always a compact class size to allow quality delivery of education. Being a co-educational institution, DFS Delhi are equipped to accept students both girls and boys as students from different backgrounds. Since its establishment in 1985, the department has earned reputation for providing education in financial studies and business economics which attract both students and researchers in the field of finance.

The admission to the Department of Financial Studies is always competitive since there is always a large number of applicants. The MBA programmes in Financial Management and Business Economics actually admit students on the basis of a Common Admission Test or CAT as administered by the Indian Institutes of Management or IIMs. The candidate needs to understand that CAT scores are just part of the basis for selection but DFS Delhi has its own standards when it comes to admission and the IIMs have no say in the selection or running of the programme.
