Department of Pharmacy Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

It is divided into two parts: the College at Greater Noida starting in 1997 and the Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut, the department of pharmacy established in 2007 as a pioneer in pharmaceutical education. Situated in Uttar Pradesh of India, this is affiliated college works within the purview of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Located on a limited area of 3660 sq.m, the department provides educational services via two master programs, the total number of students in which is 138. At present having 11 members in the institute’s faculty, every student gets personal attention and education quality is prominent. It therefore specializes in pharmaceutical sciences to ensure it provides a determinant influence towards the development of future pharmacy professionals in the region. 

The Department of Pharmacy to ensure optimum learning offers advanced facility to the students without any compromise. It also possesses well equipped laboratories especially the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory which is used for testing, identification of impurities in samples, synthesis and purification of chemical and analysis of biological substances. These practical exercises are particularly useful for learners who are interested in working in the capacity of drug development in the future. Accommodation facilities available in the campus include; Hostel facilities for boys and girls which include; furnished rooms with internet facilities. For the students, royal conveniences are provided which include basic medical facilities such as 24 hours free ambulance facility in collaboration with Dayanand Nursing Home and other facilities are made available to refer to Subharti Medical College, where necessary. The institute provides its own facilities of transport to maintain convenient transportation system and it has its own number of buses having different routes for various destinations like Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad and Delhi etc. 

The Department of Pharmacy offers two full-time courses: A first level programme of four years Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) and second level programme of two years Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma). Each course has an approved capacity of 60 students and provides 60 seats annually, in aggregate. These programs are aimed at offering students the full range of knowledge and skills within the context of the Pharmaceutical sciences to foster students for great job prospects in today’s dynamic field of Pharmacy. 

ABOUT OFFERED PROGRAMME: The admission against new seats for Department of Pharmacy at Meerut Institute of Technology is on the basis of merit.
