It is divided into two parts: the College at Greater Noida starting in 1997 and the Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut, the department of pharmacy established in 2007 as a pioneer in pharmaceutical education. Situated in Uttar Pradesh of India, this affiliated college works within the purview of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). Located on a limited area of 3660 sq. m, the department provides educational services via two master programmes, the total number of students is 138. At present, having 11 members in the institute’s faculty, every student gets personal attention, and education quality is prominent.
The Department of Pharmacy, to ensure optimum learning, offers advanced facilities to the students without any compromise. It also possesses well-equipped laboratories, especially the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory, which is used for testing, identification of impurities in samples, synthesis and purification of chemicals, and analysis of biological substances. These practical exercises are particularly useful for learners who are interested in working in the capacity of drug development in the future. Accommodation facilities available on campus include hostel facilities for boys and girls, which include furnished rooms with internet facilities. For the students, royal conveniences are provided, which include basic medical facilities such as a 24-hour free ambulance facility in collaboration with Dayanand Nursing Home, and other facilities are made available to refer to Subharti Medical College, where necessary.
The Department of Pharmacy offers two full-time courses. a first-level programme of four years of Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) and a second-level programme of two years of Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma). Each course has an approved capacity of 60 students and provides 60 seats annually, in aggregate.

Application Process
The candidates applying for the admission in the Pharmacy courses of Meerut Institute of Technology, Meerut need to submit the application form according to the following steps:
For B.Pharma course:
1. Apply for the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET) online on the CUET official website.
2. Submit CUET application form and fee
3. Take the CUET exam on the specified date.
4. Those who qualify in the entrance test can apply to the Department of Pharmacy, Meerut Institute of Technology after declaration of results.
5. Submit the documents and complete the admission formalities if selected.
For D.Pharma program:
1. Log on to the official website of JEECUP i. e., ujeecup. in. 2. Click on the link that says ‘Register for UP JEE (Polytechnic)’.
2. Complete the JEECUP application form and pay the application fee.
3. Attend the JEECUP exam according to the schedule.
4. Once the results are declared, shortlisted candidates can apply for the D. Pharma course in the institute.

B. Pharma The four-year undergraduate course in Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) is offered by the institute. Admission is conducted through the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUET). The institute has 60 seats for the B. Pharma course. The eligibility conditions are pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology as core subjects.
D. Pharma: The D. Pharmacy course has a duration of two years. The admission to the course of D. Pharma is carried out through the Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) i. e. JEECUP. The institute is providing 60 seats in this course. The applicants must have passed 10+2 with Science subjects.
