Dev Preet Degree College at Kushinagar has been recognised as an affiliate college formed 3 years back in year 2016. Located in Balua Rampur Sripal the institution is still quite young but has expanded its major both academically and physically over the years. Occupying total area of 1 acres, it is a compact college at present with 666 students and faculty of 10 members. Dev Preet Degree College teaches two courses of the under graduate degree programmes, and this proves that the college is committed to deliver quality education in all basic fields. The college has adopted a number of infrastructure in order to improve the performance of the students. Currently, the library plays a crucial role of a resource centre whereby students can get a number of academic resources. To facilitate these programmes, the college has provided departmental laboratories for practical experiences in the courses offered disciplines. 

Understanding the need for technology in today’s learning, Dev Preet Degree College has taken time to put up a good IT section. This not only enhances pedagogy practice of teaching and learning but also enhances the students for the integrated world. The college also aims at needful of the students, providing them with proper facilities to engage in sporting activities, thus providing balance of classes and exercises. For easier commute the institution avails transport facilities for the Students and the members of Staff to enable them move about easily. 

In terms of academic offerings, Dev Preet Degree College currently provides two full-time undergraduate programmes: Undergraduate programmes include; Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and Bachelor of Arts (BA). These two programmes take three years to complete, and prepares the students with quality education in their areas of speciality. The B.Com programme is functional with an annual fee of ₹15,000, and provides students, a strong base of Commerce and Business Studies. The BA programme on the other hand can encompass a widen range of subjects from the humanities and Social Sciences. The fee for the Plasma Physics and Nuclear Engineering PhD programme is not stated but it is understood that the cost for the BA programmes would be nearly the same. 

At Dev Preet Degree College, the admission criteria differ from each other depending on the course. Concerning the B.Com programme admission, the college administers an entrance examination. This examination provides the basis for selection of students, whereby admittance is offered strictly on merit requiring stiff competition. However, for the BA programme, as earlier pointed out, the college adopts more of a traditional modality of even tackling some of the most basic concepts. For joining in the BA Part I, the student has to clear the Intermediate Examination and selection is done strictly on merit. Such approach to the admission enables the college to select appropriate student in the programme. Accessibility is well incorporated by the college in its education provision; however, there is limited information concerning particular scholarships.
