Dev Samaj College Of Education For Women Ferozepur was established in the year 1887; it is one of the premier Women’s colleges in Punjab India. This affiliated college lies at Bansi Gate, Circular Road, Ferozepur City, and occupies an area of 1 acres, and receives approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute is presently providing three full time courses in education with 301 students enrolment and faculty of 25. As a Teachers training institution, the college offers B.Ed, M.Ed, and a PGD in Guidance and Counselling for female students only to enhance the profession’s culture of supporting women in learning institutions.

Dev Samaj College Of Education For Women possesses various facilities that would improve the learning environment of the student. It has centrally air-conditioned separate and well furnished library which piloted more than 17000 books on different subject, and reading room with 13 multi-lingual daily newspapers, 15 Journals and 14 Magazines. Facilities includes modern infrastructure facilities IT related computer brackets and broadband facility. In connection with physical fitness there are available facilities including a gymnasium for games, nets for netball, volleyball, hockey and badminton. The girls on the campus have a special hostel, which is provided for outstation students together with modern concessional facilities under the care of independent members of the staff. 

Dev Samaj College of Education for Women currently has a total of three employment generating full-time courses all related to Education and Teacher Education.  All these programmes are laid down to help prepare students for appropriate careers within the education field. 

The admission process for Dev Samaj College of Education for Women follows a marks criteria taken from the qualifying examinations and / or entrance tests. In regard to the programme offering of B.El.Ed, entry has been done according to the state government, UT administration or university. The same procedure exists for the M.Ed programme in conforming with the state, central government UT administration or affiliating university norms.
