Dibru College, Dibrugarh, was founded in the year 1963 and is one of the premier government-recognised institutions in Assam. This college is affiliated to Dibrugarh University and obtained a B++ grade accreditation from NAAC. Dibru College is spread over 1.98 acres and currently offers 18 undergraduate programmes under 5 degree types in the streams of Arts, Science, and Commerce. The total enrolment of students in this college is 2,906, with faculty strength of 61, holding a mixed student body of 61% males and 39% females. 

Dibru College is one of the prime institutes in providing quality education in the rural and tribal areas of Assam. Dibru College has a multitude of facilities for its rich academic environment. The college has offered a wide range of undergraduate courses that include BA, BA (Hons), B.Sc, B.Sc (Hons), and B.Com. The courses are full-time and three years in duration. The major subjects in B.Sc. are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, and Anthropology. The BA programme combines majors in Assamese, Political Science, Economics, Mathematics, History, Education, Anthropology, and Sanskrit. Under the Commerce stream, there is provision for B.Com and B.Com in Finance and Accounting.
