Dinabandhu B.Ed. College was founded in 2012 and is listed as one of the best colleges in Burdwan, West Bengal. It is a co-educational college and is located at the village of Ragunathpur with the purpose of structuring future teachers into shape. The institute stands on 0.9 acres of land and has a total intake of 300 students for two specialized courses in education. With 25 experienced teachers, the student-teacher ratio in Dinabandhu B.Ed. College is very apt for personal attention and quality education. The said College is a constituent college, and the sanction at the institutional level has been obtained from NCTE, New Delhi, which itself speaks volumes of strong commitment towards maintaining educational standards at a higher level for the said course of teacher training.

Dinabandhu B.Ed. College offers academically two full-time courses about education. The Bachelor of Education, B.Ed is the mainstay course of the institution. The Diploma in Elementary Education, D.El.Ed. Both these courses are of two years duration and provide full-fledged training to emerging teachers. The intake for the college would be 150 for the above two courses. All its seats usually get filled up every academic year.

Admission to Dinabandhu B.Ed. College shall be strictly based on merit, i.e. marks in the qualifying examination. The admissions to the B.Ed. course shall be in accordance with the candidate's performance at the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination subject to the State Government and the policies of the affiliating university from time to time. Admission to the D.El.Ed. Admission to the said course shall be based on the principle of merit in the qualifying examination. The program, in which admission is granted on merit bases depending upon the marks in qualifying examination and or an entrance test as per state government regulations. Being a relatively new college, the alumni network for Dinabandhu B.Ed. College is continuously growing and strengthening day by day with its passed-out students serving the field of education in different schools and other educational institutes in the Locale.
