DIPS College of Education, Jalalpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

DIPS College of Education Jalalpur, Tanda Urmur District Punjab, is an affiliated college and was established in 2009. This co-educational institution aims in teacher education and is accredited and recognized by the national council for teacher education (NCTE). To prove that the college follows the quality education the college has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Located on a 5-acre campus, DIPS College of Education is tenanted in a cost effective environment for teaching and learning. The college has its total student enrolment to 107 and there is faculty of 13 with healthy student faculty ratio so the students are provided with better attention and faculty support.

The said college has various amenities as an addition to the students’ overall college life. They are sports facilities for physical development; an auditorium for events seminare and other occasions; library, which is a pool of knowledge for students. The campus is also well furnished with composite facility of new generation laboratory for practical ahead. The college being a second home to its students has a health centre with first aid services for their welfare. The college has a well developed IT support for its students, in essence students at this college of education are well equipped technologically. On campus, there is a cafeteria where everyone including both the staff and students is able to obtain his/her meal. Further, it has a hostel section in the same college for boys as well as girls so that the students who need the accommodation can easily get it.

DIPS College of Education currently offers one main course: the programe of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This full time course takes two years and the approved capacity for this course is one hundred students. The B.Ed program provided hereby aims at producing competent teachers for practice in teaching profession. 

The eligibility criteria for admission in DIPS College of Education depend on the existing rules and regulation of state government, U.T. Administration and the University where the College is situated. Selection committee usually involves marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or performance in an entrance test. The college may also use other methods of selection as may be warranted by the policies that are in force at the time of recruitment.
