With the realization of the importance of education, the Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak established a correspondence cell in 1988, to impart education through correspondence mode. Later, the university upgraded the correspondence cell to directorate and has expanded tremendously, with the help of technology development, and requirement of society. The DDE MDU offers both UG and PG courses for interested candidates.
The DDE MDU is located in Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. One can reach the campus by bus, train, or air incase of residing outside the state or city.

1. The DDE MDU released the last date of Submission of Solved Assignments of various UG/PG Programmes through Distance mode has been extended up to 10 March 2021.

Distant studies in DDE MDU do not offer placement opportunities to its students. They are required to seek job opportunities themselves. However, assistance and support, along with career guidance is provided to students who wish to learn about job opportunities and beyond. They provide career workshops and guest speakers to cater students’ future needs and to help them choose the right career path for themselves.

The Directorate of Distance Learning offers many courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels which include courses like BA, B. Com, B.L.I.Sc, MA, MSc, M. Com.
