DM College of Education is one of the premier coaching teacher education institutions for the state of Punjab, India, that was set up in the year 1953. This college is a co-educational institution situated in Moga with PIN codes 142001 It is situated in a 5-acre area. The college is affiliated and has claimed credential from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It also has the recognition from National Council for Teacher Education [NCTE] this insures that quality standards of teachers training are met. DM College of Education at present is having 84 students and 10 faculties making it easier for one concentrated on the professions of teaching.

The college also has numerous infrastructures that help in the process of education of the learners. One unique facility is the girls’ hostel that comes with a modern touch, with the capacity of 42 students, and ensure adequate security of its occupants. The college library serves as the information center of the college, boasting a collection of 13,500 books some of which where published as early as 1903. This involves a comprehensive list of topics such as education, psychology, religion, social sciences, languages, sciences, art, literature, history and geography. There also exist a catalogue of educational journals, magasines and newspapers and a fully computerized catalogue system to boot. For the health facility the college has a first aid facility in form of a health center.

DM College of Education presently, has only one chief course which is the B.Ed. This full time course takes two years and the institution is allowed to recruit two hundred students. The B.Ed program is aimed at preparing competent educators in all sectors of education institutions. 

The admission for the students at DM college of Education is strictly merit based depending on the laid down policies of the state government/U.T Administration and the affiliating university respectively. The students are selected depending on their performance in the qualifying exam and or the entrance exam. The college may also select candidates by the other methods as may be provided by the existing laws. It also creates an avenue through which deserving candidates are given the chance to meet their teaching dreams as far as the institution is concerned.
