Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Law, Hyderabad was set up in year 1993 as one of the prominent institutes running law courses. This cosmopolitan college is situated at the centre of Hyderabad, spread over a compact area of 2.1 acres which provides appropriate teaching- learning environment for the budding legal professionals. It has been approved by the Bar council of India and at present, it comprises of 754 students and is backed up by faculty of nineteen experienced teachers.
Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Law has earned many amenities that are consonant with the needs of the students to facilitate learning. The well stocked library acts as a one-stop centre for most of the legal materials that may be required by the students through books and journals or digital resources. For those eager on physical activities, the college has arranged a gym where fitness enthusiasts can be assured of a quality workout body and mind balance. Still adjusting to the new era, the college has also allocated adequate resources to information technology accompanied by a computerised accounting lab with tally in a bid to prepare its students for the practical aspect of legal work.
The sanctorum of Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Law comprises of three full time course in over all laws with different emphases on legal education. In terms of educational courses, the college offers two undergraduate courses and one postgraduate course to make sure that the students get value chain legal training.

Admission to Dr. BR Ambedkar College of Law is therefore structured to identify and admit the most capable students to its programmes. For the undergraduate programmes, the 5 year integrated programs for B.A LLB & 3 year LLB programme, the admissions are through the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET). This exam acts as the state’s gate way to aspiring law students. The LLM programme, especially the Labour Law, offers an admission to the candidate passing the Telangana State Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (TS PGLCET).
