Dr BR Ambedkar Mahavidyalaya, Girwan: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Dr. BR Ambedkar Mahavidyalaya, Girwan, was established in 2012 and is an affiliated college of Banda, Uttar Pradesh. This institution spread its teaching arena on 2.53 acres and focuses on giving quality education in the sector of teaching. It is accredited by NAAC, and NCTE has given permission to impart three specialised courses in education. Focus on learning 217 students and 20 faculty strengths are some of the characteristics of the college. 

A fully resourced library stands among one of its strong learning centers that house all essentials an emerging teacher needs to learn from. The departmental laboratories perform an important practical approach toward training the teachers. Besides, sports facilities for students are available to help with physical well-being and recreation. The college campus has an auditorium for events and seminars that create an enthusiastic academic environment. IT infrastructure helps in keeping connectivity with modern technological education. It contains a cafeteria, parking space, and a health center with first aid facilities. The guest house and waiting room facilities are also offered by the college to its visitors, signifying the hospitality of the institution.

In total, three full-time courses are being offered in Dr. BR Ambedkar Mahavidyalaya, which are center-based teacher education courses. Among the courses being offered, the B.Ed course has the highest intake at 100 seats, followed closely by the seats for the Bachelor of Elementary Education and Diploma in Elementary Education, both at 50 seats. This will take the total intake of students across all programs to 200.

Admission at Dr. BR Ambedkar Mahavidyalaya is strictly merit-based with preference given to marks obtained in qualifying examinations and entrance tests. For the D.El.Ed program, admissions will be taken on the basis of the state government/UT administration's rules and guidelines.
