Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences Mohali is a government aided medical college of the Punjab State Government. It is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. AIMS Mohali began with an aim to provide higher education in the field of medicine and human anatomy research. 

The college invites admission in the programme of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, widely known as MBBS. To apply for admission in Dr BR Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, the applicant first needs to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and secure a valid score and rank.

Then, he/she must participate in NEET UG Punjab state counselling. The counselling process allots admission in medical colleges, depending on the merit of the applicant, seat in the course and their choice filling list.
