Namakkal based Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College and Research Centre was set up in year 2000. This is a coeducational college which is recognised by the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH) and acts as a postgraduate level college offering specialised homoeopathic medical education. Spread over 7.67 acres of land the college has the strength of 367 students including 213 boys, 154 girls and faculty of 36 well qualified and experienced faculty members.

Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College and Research Centre boasts itself in providing the best facilities to improve teaching and learning capabilities of the college students. Established as an academic information center, the library stocks 3,675 medical books and offers its students 21 journals to enrich their knowledge. The library which is in its early stage of development can hold up to 100 students at any one time, there are two reading sections for the male and female students, and a staffs reading section that has a computer section and internet facilities. The college also have well equipped laboratories for each department in order to provide practical sessions for the students.

Dr. Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College and Research Centre offer only one course and they are Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS). This is a full course program that takes six Years and intakes only one hundred students per year. The curriculum is developed to establish sound knowledge and professional skills in homoeopathy to cover gross professional educational standard and to bring the homoeopathy professionals competent enough to serve the society in a systematic manner.
