Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Subedar Mahavidyalaya, Ballia, was established in the year 2003 and is located in Habasapur, Aurai Kala, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. The campus area is 5.56 acres, approved by the National Council of Teacher Education, NCTE. The college offers a number of courses and programmes, which are three in number, covering 845 students and a faculty of two.

Even though Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Subedar Mahavidyalaya is relatively young, it has been expanding its academic programmes and infrastructure steadily to meet the regional educational needs. The college is committed to giving its students a favourable learning environment. It has diverse facilities that are meant to not only support its students' personal growth but also their academic growth. Library acts as the heart of the institution to meet the needs of the students. The library stock is available with 3,000 books as well as reference books, 400 periodicals and journals, along with an enyclopedia set. Where 100 students can sit at a time, it provides a peaceful corner to the students for study and research. The college also provides well-equipped laboratories which include a Science lab, Psychology lab, and Education Technology and Media lab, each fulfilling the standards set down by the NCTE. The college serves those interested and willing to pursue sports and fitness at college, which is facilitated through indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The college also has a gymnasium. The college is Wi-Fi enabled for students to benefit from digital resources to be used in their studies.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Subedar Mahavidyalaya offers three full-time undergraduate courses that are Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc). It is a two-year B.Ed programme with an intake capacity of 100 students, a three-year B.Sc with an intake capacity of 60 students, and BA, which is also a three-year course, whereby the actual capacity of intake is not specified. All these programmes satisfy different academic interests of students in the fields of humanities, education, and sciences. 

At Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Subedar Mahavidyalaya, admissions to all its programmes go differently. Admission to this B.Ed. course will be based on the merit of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Other policies of the State Government, UT administration, and the affiliated university are also influencing factors that decide the admission criteria.
