Dr. Shyam Lal Thapar College of Nursing, Moga, Punjab, India which was established in the year of 1993. This affiliated college is located at Talwandi Bhangerian Moga and it has spread across 3 Acre of land. The institute is affiliated to INC and PCI which make sure that the nursing and pharmacy course offered are of good standard. The college has a total enrolment capacity of 211 students and has a faculty of 9 members of teaching to offer nine different courses offered at three different degree levels for the students specialising in nursing and pharmacy.

Dr. Shyam Lal Thapar College of Nursing has numerous facilities with the aim of improving learning environment and’ or the well being of the students as a college. An established library enshrine knowledge; skillful laboratories are similarly important for nursing and pharmacy courses. Hostel facilities are available for the students those who are living in campus and for those who are coming from out of Moga, the campus have different hostels for boys and girls. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Sc Nursing: The B.Sc Nursing program has an intake of 70 seats. Admissions are done on merit basis against the performance of the candidate in 10+2 examination with science subjects and any relevant entrance as conducted by the state or college.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This program has an intake of 40 seats and admits only candidates who have completed the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery). The admission may be determined either on merit-based performance in previous academic qualifications and any relevant entrance test.

M.Sc Nursing: The college offers M.Sc programs in various specializations:

  1. M.Sc Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing (4 seats),
  2. M.Sc Community Health Nursing (2 seats),
  3. M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing (2 seats) and
  4. M.Sc Psychiatric Nursing (2 seats).

Meritorious and needy students can be admitted to all M.Sc programs. Likely evaluation of the candidate's B.Sc Nursing performance includes an entrance test or interview.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): The diploma has a seat capacity of 60. The selection would depend on the overall performance at the 10+2 level, with admission based on the respective state-level entrance exam and/or counseling process.

ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): Of the 30 seats available, admission to ANM shall be through round counseling after qualification in a specified entrance test.

D.Pharma (Diploma in Pharmacy): Admission for this course requires 60 Seats. The admission procedure will consider the candidate's 10+2 results in science and the state level entrance as applicable.
