Dr SR Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing, Bangalore was established in 1977. Dr. S. R. Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing's main aim is to establish itself as a centre of excellence by assessing speech and language disorders accurately. And committed to fostering communication abilities, unlocking potential, and facilitating connections by offering comprehensive methods of the learning process. The branches in which the courses are offered are Audiology, Speech and Education.
Dr SR Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing courses are DEd, BASLP, PGD, MSc, MASLP and PhD. Admission into DEd is given based on the entrance exam score conducted by RCI whereas merit scores are considered for admission into UG and PG courses while admission into doctoral programmes is given based on merit followed by an interview process.
Dr SR Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing scholarships are provided to the merit students. Internship opportunities are provided to merit students through placement cells at the Institute. Dr SR Chandrasekhar Institute of Speech and Hearing also facilitates separate hostels for boys and girls, a library, sports, a cafeteria, a gym and many more which can be accessed by students. The fee structure depend on the institution in which you are perusing the course but the average fee structure ranges from Rs 4,000 to Rs. 4,00,000.

Some entrance exams are:
AIISH EE,BVP CET and many other institutes like Indian Institute of Health Education and Research, Patna,National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Thiruvananthapuram etc. conduct their own entrance exams.
In previous years, for AIISH EE Registration date was March 7, 2020 - April 29, 2020 and Exam date was May 16, 2020 and for BVP CET Registration date was January 20 - August 19, 2020 and Exam date was August 25 – 26, 2020.
The eligibility criteria:
Candidate with a graduation degree of BASLP, B.Sc. (SP & HG), B.Sc. (HLS) from a recognized institute with a minimum of 50 percent(45 percent for SC,ST) in their graduation.
