Dr. Tanajirao Chorage Adhyapak Mahavidyalay is established in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. This affiliated college was established in 2008 to provide with efficient, competent and skilled educators and trainers for the past ten years. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) which makes it a point that the teacher education institute meets the requirement set by the government. Established in 1995, the college is a co-educational institution with a small student population of 88 and a faculty of 6. The college is designed for students who wish to become teachers.

Dr. Tanajirao Chorage Adhyapak Mahavidyalay  has various infrastructures that can facilitate the student’s session and make the college a favourable place to study. The college features sports amenities where the fans in sports can practice, and the cultural people can use the auditorium for events and seminars. Another evidence is that the library is provision of knowledge as a central intermediate good for the research and studies. For practical education, it has set up departmental laboratories for the college. Convenience is given emphasis with a first aid equipped health centre, and a gym facility for exercise and fitness. The institute also provides hostel facilities for both boys and girls which gives proper and convenient living condition to those who are from other city. There is a guest house for the times when some members of the faculty or students’ families have to visit the college. 

Dr. Tanajirao Chorage Adhyapak Mahavidyalay offers one full-time course, the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This course takes two years and the approved capacity is 100 admission implying that this institute can train many future teachers in every one year. The B.ED programme aims at preparing students to be professionals in the teaching profession with knowledge, understanding, and practice. Nevertheless, the college has this single degree programme to show that it has a concentration in teacher education.
