One of the major institutes of education in Bidhannagar, Durgapur, West Bengal, DSMS College, Durgapur was established in the Year 2003. It is a co-educational college that offers various undergraduate courses in management, hospitality, and computer applications. The compact campus with 1-acre area, enrolls 150 students and 16 faculty members. DSMS College offers 4 full-time courses in 3-degree programs, namely BCA, BBA, and BBA in Hospital Management and BHM, hence catering to the different career aspirations of students.

The institute aims to provide an all-round learning experience with its fully-fledged facilities. A separate boys' hostel and a girl's hostel assure congenial atmosphere for learning and development. A library is the reservoir of knowledge, and it is stocked with printed and e-resources to facilitate learning and knowledge. The college boasts of the most modern and updated I.T. infrastructure, comprising more than 360 latest computers with LAN and wireless internet facilities that would leave the students well-equipped to handle the demands of the computer age. The campus houses a canteen, health-oriented laboratories, and sports to promote a healthy lifestyle among the students. It also has a health center with first-aid facilities that ensures the good health of all in the college community.

DSMS College presently runs four full-time undergraduate programs with the aim of making its students employable by equipping them with relevant industry knowledge and skills. Its four-year program in BCA offers sound foundational knowledge in computer science and its applications. The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) course encompasses all areas of business management and is covered in three years. A four-year BBA is also offered in the aspect of Hospital Management by the college for students who want to further venture into the health care area. The four-year course is known as the BBA Bachelor of Hotel Management, which helps students establish themselves in careers concerning hospitality.
