DEC or Dumka Engineering College is a renowned technological college, started in the year 2013, and is located in Dumka of Jharkhand state of India. This affiliated college, located in a large 24 acres, has emerged as the centre for engineering courses in this region. Being an NAAC accredited institution and approved by the AICTE, DEC allots a excellent environment for the scholars who intends to establish their career in the field of engineering. The college enrol 932 students in total and 59 faculties who effectively uphold the principle of student-faculty ratio making sure that each student gets to experience personal attention besides quality education.

DEC has a wide range of facilities that can improve the learning process of a student. The library provides resource centre that comprises books, journals and digital resources. From practical training, DEC boasts of owning over 40 labs which include computer science Lab, CNC Milling Lab, VLSI Lab, Embedded Systems Lab among others. The facility is diagnosed with internet coverage that includes high speeds ensuring students they do not lag behind in today's digital advancements. The facilities available for use include football pitch, basketball court, and a volleyball court. The college also has an on-campus medical service as well as emergency ambulance service for the students ‘welfare.

Dumka Engineering College is delivering education in engineering, with a balanced coverage on the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At present, the institute offers 11 courses offered at two degrees. DEC at its undergraduate streams, provides various B.Tech programmes like Computer Science and Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and other budding fields such as VLSI Design and Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Advanced Communication Technology etc. The college has also added on postgraduate courses among them being Masters of Technology in Advanced Communication Technology and VLSI Design.
