Durgapur Institute of Science, Technology and Management is a leading educational institution, situated in Durgapur, West Bengal and which was established in 2002. Located on a small plot of 0.25 acre, DISTM has a vision to deliver education in various streams of undergraduate programme such as Business Administration, Computer Applications, Hotel Management and Life Sciences etc. The institute has a total usage of 180 students and is staffed by 20 well trained faculty members.

DISTM boasts of the availability of various facilities that improve the learning environment of the students. The school has a functional library with many books, textbooks, reference books, encyclopedias among others, magazines, newspapers, journals and many other reading materials which are essential to the students. This campus has modern computer laboratories that are air-conditioned, and they have the broad band connection to allow the student learn the latest modern technology. For the students of life sciences, DISTM has well featured, fully air conditioned microbiology, biochemistry and tissue culture lab each of 1300 sq ft area with sophisticated biotechnological and biochemical instruments.

At the moment, the institute provides seven undergraduate courses in five degree programmes. All the offered programmes at DISTM are full-time programmes, which gives students an excellent chance to be engaged only in their studies. These programmes are BBA, BCA, BHM, BBA in Hospital Management, Biotechnology, Microbiology and MLT. All these programmes suit different types of professions and market needs, providing students with successful professional paths.

The admission process at DISTM is simple and convenient to follow. The admission criterion is merit based, the marks obtained in the student's previous course are considered. DISTM understands the need for receiving a complete education and offers outstation students hostels in case they need it.
