Durgapur Women's College, was established in the year 1980. The present date finds this top educational institution located in Durgapur, West Bengal, India. A 14-acre campus, this affiliated college, specializes in quality education for women. Now, it also imparts undergraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce and is duly visited by the NAAC.

There are 423 seats in the BA program, 60 seats in the BSc program, and specialised honours courses include Bangla, English, Political Science, History, Sanskrit, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Philosophy, Zoology, Economics, Geography, and Psychology. There are also 37 seats in a B. Com program.
