Eastern Karbi Anglong College is an affiliated college that was established in the year 1997 in Sarihajan, Karbi Anglong, Assam. This institution of higher learning has been accredited by the National Assessment and the Accreditation Council for providing quality education. At present, it houses 663 students enroled and 29 faculty members. Eastern Karbi Anglong College offers a wide range of undergraduate programmes focusing specifically on Arts and Humanities. The college offers eight courses under two degree programmes. Students can, therefore, engage themselves in various academic pursuits or even professional aspirations.

There are also several facilities intended to improve the learning processes and overall development of its students. In the centre of the college's amenities stand the library accommodating more than 7,000 volumes as well as a list of journals, magazines, and periodicals. Such a collection becomes a great source of support for the student in pursuit of academic studies and personal development. For those who are passionate about sports, the college accommodates sports facilities to balance healthy measures between both academics and athletics. The canteen on the campus caters to staff as well as students. Here, one could have refreshments and also socialise. In addition, Eastern Karbi Anglong College maintains an active alumni association, which keeps in touch with its existing students and graduates, therefore eventually leading to adequate networking for opportunities of mentorship as well as career building.

The total of eight courses are done full-time, under the umbrella of Bachelor of Arts (BA), is offered by Eastern Karbi Anglong College. The courses of these programmes intend to introduce the students to general knowledge through a multi-dimensional network of humanities. The college offers both the BA (General) programme and some honors programmes are BA Economics (Hons), BA Political Science (Hons), BA History (Hons), BA Education (Hons), BA Sociology (Hons), BA Assamese (Hons), and BA English (Hons).

The admissions to this college are based on merit and are approved by the Principal. This means that there is sufficient opportunity for deserving students to pursue their chosen fields of study. Only the UG scores in CUET UG will be taken as admission criteria since the college follows all criteria laid down by national standards for admission to higher education.
