ERK Arts and Science College, Dharmapuri: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

ERK Arts and Science College was established in 2008 at Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, India and it is an affiliated college situated in Erumiyampatti Village, Dharmapuri. The institution teaches 35 different courses spread across nine degree programmes to 1,352 students and employs 76 faculty members. To make good progress in their academic journey, the college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the students together with a doctorate wherein they can do specialised Ph.D courses in the likes of Tamil, English, and even chemistry. 

ERK Arts and Science College has numerous amenities meant to improve the students learning environment and general personality. The campus community get a well equipped health centre with first aid facilities which are so important to make the community healthy. The library with more than 15000 books, national & international journals, magazines & educational CDs is digitally managed and acted as knowledge centre for students and faculty members. For those interested in games and sports, the college has fashioned out facilities for athletic, hockey, cross country, football, both soft and baseball and many of the students produced inter-university and national distinctions. The hi-tech computer labs supported by free 2 Mbps leased line internet shall make sure that the delivery of modern, technology-based education on the campus. In addition, the college has transportation facilities for all the students of entire Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, and Thiruvannamalai districts to have easy access to this college.

ERK Arts and Science College has various faculties to award different programmes that will suit the student’s needs and course preferences. At present, the institution offer 35 courses at different levels, which include the undergraduate, postgraduate, Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy level. Of them, few are the full-time, the part-time, and research courses. Some of the well known undergraduate courses that the college provides include B.Lit Tamil, BA in Tamil, English, History, BCA, B.Com, and B.Com in Computer Applications. In the postgraduate level they are able to study MA Tamil & English, M.Sc Mathematics, Physics, Botany and Computer Science and M.Com. M.Phil courses are offered in subjects such as Tamil, English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Commerce and Physics in both full time and part time. Student orientation areas include English, Tamil, and Chemistry in doctor of philosophy for both full time and part time.

The admission policy that is so promoting at ERK Arts and Science College is to admission as many students as possible and based on merit. Admission requirements to most undergraduate courses are qualifications obtained through a qualifying higher secondary examination. The marks obtained in the related undergraduate degree may be considered by postgraduate admissions. For the admission process into Ph.D. programmes, the candidate must have appeared for CET conducted by the university or should have appeared for any national level tests like NET, SET or GATE. This allows research scholars to meet the required academic standard as per the requirements of the University.
