Faculty of Management Studies, Sri Sri University, Cuttack: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

With the setting up of the Faculty of Management Studies at Sri Sri University, Cuttack in 2009, Sri Sri University has had a constituent college in the sphere of management education. Established in Sri Sri Vihar, Cuttack, Odisha, the institute is an AICTE accredited one offering various courses for both the undergraduate and the post graduate levels. The college currently has a faculty of 29 dedicated members primarily as teacher educators while the student population is 158 comprising of 66 % male and 34% female. The institute thus provides four different courses in three degrees clearly reflecting its philosophy of management education.

The campus of Sri Sri University is nicely planned so as to offer the students the best environment to learn. The library now located in the Shruti Academic Complex is a manifestation of this commitment. It has a vast fully fitted with ecological features; it features an air conditioned reading hall which provide students with the most conducive environment to study. Technological development is also accorded importance in the college as evidenced from adequacy of IT facilities. To the sport enthusiast, the university fosters a vibrant sporting spirit in students to perform to the best both in-doors and out-doors. Healthwise, exclusive focus is provided to individuals with Medical Clinic and Ayurveda Hospital, Emergency, Surgical, Medical service facilitating medical support 24/7 for them.

The Faculty of Management Studies actually provides a total of four courses all of which are full time. These individual include two post graduate course namely MBA and MBA in Agri Business Management Entrepreneurship of two years each and two undergraduate programme BBA and B.Com(Hons) of three years each. The current approved capacity for these courses is three hundred and thirty students per year. This institute has been experiencing more enrolment in the past few years On average this institute had 158 students enrold for the post graduate programmes this year.

Admission to the Faculty of Management Studies takes place through a highly selective set institutional process. MBA is the full form of Master of Business Administration and for the MBA one has to clear specific entrance tests, which popular tests are CAT (Common Admission Test) and MAT (Management Aptitude Test). The institute also offers its own entrance test in the name of SSU-CET. It makes sure all worthy candidates go through the selection process needed to be part of this prestigious institution. The college exists to provide scholarship for the deserving students; it is also revealed that in the current academic year, nine hundred and fifty-eight postgraduate students out of one hundred and fifty-eight students who sat for a scholarship were refunded money.

While the former is established on hardcore academic features, the Faculty of Management Studies at Sri Sri University is about holistic development.
