Fatma Teacher Training College at Ranchi was started in the year 2012 It is a recognized affiliate college situated in Dubaliya village of Kanke Tehsil in Ranchi district of Jharkhand. The institute recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) offers teacher education programs only. It is located on a small piece of ground of 0.96 acre; it has catered for two full time courses with a total admission capacity of 268 students. The institute maintains a student-faculty ratio of approximately 12:1, with 23 faculty members. Fatma Teachers Training College is aimed at delivering teaching Education in general and nurturing specialized professionals in B.Ed and D.El.Ed.

Fatma Teachers Training College offers two full-time courses: , a Bachelors in Education (B.ED) as well as a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.ED). The two programs are College of Education teacher preparation programs and their goal is to produce professional educators. The B.Ed program has an approved intake capacities of 100 and the D.El.Ed program with 50� These course are offered for students who wish to qualify as teachers within different tiers of education systems.

Unlike other colleges and universities, Fatma Teachers Training College conducts its admission based on the course offered, and therefore the admission requirements also differ depending on course. In the case of the B.Ed program, admission is Merit-Based, the marks of the entrance exam conducted and developed by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). This process also fits with the policies established in Ranchi University and the Government of Jharkhand. The D.El.Ed program, on the other hand, prefer the candidates having merit of intermediate or equivalent examination.
