Gangarampur Government Polytechnic, established in the year 2013, is located in Gangarampur, West Bengal. This government institution is an approved college by the All India Council for Technical Education, thereby ensuring the standard of quality technical education imparted to the students. This polytechnic offers three diploma programs with a student enrolment of 262 with the faculy strength is 15, spread over the compact area of 5.04 acres. Gangarampur Government polytechnic has a number of facilities to enhance students' academic and personal development. Gangarampur Government Polytechnic runs three full-time diploma courses, each of three years duration in different engineering disciplines. These are Diploma in Survey Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering. In each course, an approved intake capacity is 60 students, amounting to 180 seats in all the courses. It aims to impart theoretical knowledge with practical skills to students in their respective fields, thereby meeting industry demand.

The intake is mostly through the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics West Bengal (JEXPO). It's a test used to take admission into technical education, a standardised test, in fact, taking place in every country. The result of the examination will be the major basis for diploma programs.
