Garment Research Training Design and Development Centre, Bellary is a specialized institution set up in the year 2009. This affiliated college situated at Bellary, Karnataka is also a provider of talent in the field of garment manufacturing and apparel science. Located on a rather small piece of ground of only 2 acres, GRTDDC provides a concentrated educational atmosphere for those interested in the sphere of textile and garments. The institute currently offers education to 57 students with a team of 7 faculties that ensure direct interaction with the students to update their expertise.

For its part, Garment Research Training Design and Development Centre proudly puts forward the following learning amenities for its students: The campus has a boys’ hostel and a girls’ hostel, which can accommodate about 50 students in each. To this extent, the provision affords a favorable dwelling for students emerging from divergent areas of the nation. A library of the institute is another facility that can be described as a knowledge resource centre for garment manufacturing and apparel science. Apart from theory, GRTDDC has functional laboratories to cater to practical exercises to enhance learning of the corresponding concepts. The Garment Research Training Design and Development Centre provides two types of bachelors of three years full-time study: These courses are intended to prepare the students with skills and knowledge needed by this dynamic garment and apparel industry. The B.Sc. in Garment Manufacturing Technology programme is more concerned with the details of manufacturing garments, and the B.Sc. in Apparel Science course is a more extensive curriculum in the apparel pipeline including design and merchandising.
