Gaur College of Education came into existence in the year 2006. It is a co-educational institute for developing future teachers. Located on the 14th K.M. Stone, Chandigarh Road, Behbalpur, Hisar, this affiliated college spreads over a compact area of 0.86 acres. The institute is NCTE-approved and offers two specialised courses in education. With 20 faculty members, Gaur College of Education aims at providing quality teacher education through a supportive learning environment.

Gaur College of Education has a whole range of facilities for delivering education in an fitting manner. At the front stands the library, functioning as the mainstay of the academic resources of the institution. Its stock comprises more than 10,705 books covering different aspects of Education. It also subscribes to a wide range of current and highly reputed national educational journals, periodicals, and newspapers. Laboratories like the Science lab, Art and Craft lab, Language lab, Mathematics lab, and Psychology lab have been provided for practical work. These facilities assures that students get practical training along with theoretical knowledge.

Gaur College of Education has two full-time courses in Education. Bachelor of Education comes for a period of two years and aims at preparing students for teaching at the secondary and higher secondary levels. Another course, the Diploma in Education, is a two-year programme aimed at preparing teachers for Primary and Upper Primary schools. 

Merit draws the admission procedure in Gaur College of Education according to the prescribed policies of the State Government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliating University. B.Ed. Admission is usually done on the basis of qualifying examination marks and/or entrance examination performance. Other selection processes may be used by the college following the prevalent policies. The case of the D.Ed. programme, in particular, restricts the same to legal residents of Haryana, therefore indicating that the college addresses the cause of local educational development with due seriousness.
