Gaurav College of Education, Jaipur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Gaurav College of Education, Jaipur, started in the year 2008, is a coeducational affiliated college situated at Chomu, Jaipur district of Rajasthan. To strengthen its credibility the institute is accredited with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college occupies a very small plot of land of 0.61776 acres and trains teachers, having a bachelor of education programme (B. Ed.). This-varsity has a total of 190 students and the faculty at this college comprises 17 members which make a good student-teacher ratio-possible suitable attention for each candidate teacher.

Gaurav College of Education, Jaipur has also developed various facilities that will help bring the learning ability of students to a higher level. Sufficient of infrastructure facilities consist of a big and well developed library with area of 1400 sq. ft. where there is a number of books and journals available for the students as under :- Total books = 6563 Total Indian journals = 15 Total international journals = 5 The library also provides its electronic resources such as e-journals and e-learning recommended by Wi-Fi internet. Also for the need of the female students, the college has a girl’s hostel with the capacity of fifty students with twenty five rooms containing amenities/ recreational halls. Some facilities include; different laboratories, an event and seminar hall, and student and staff canteen. It is equipped with both indoor and outside play areas where lovers of sporting activities can indulge in and these are football field, badminton, volley ball, cricket etc..

Gaurav College of Education currently offers one full-time course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme, however here it becomes a prerequisite for entry into this programme. This is a two-year programme with an approved intake of 100 students, this is because the institute is more focused on preparing quality teachers. 

The admission policy at the Gaurav College of Education is offered strictly on merit and applicants are required to sit for the Pre Teacher Entrance Test (P.T.E.T) of any University recognised by the State Government. This entrance exam puts in place candidates who possess the aptitudes and skills for teaching profession.
