Gautam Buddha Teachers Training College, founded 2007, is an affiliated college situated at Hazaribag, Jharkhand. Located in NH-33, Mukundganj the School is almost 5 km far from the Bus Stand, It is among the co-educational institutions for teacher education. Its accreditation goes hand in hand with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and within the frame of approval of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). With a campus spanning 2 acres, the institute offers two full-time courses: One hundred students are admitted in both the B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes. The college employs an array of 33 faculty members to teach its total enrolment of 100 students offered various programmes.
As for the utility, Gautam Buddha Teachers Training College offers all the necessary facilities to improve the process of education in the college. The library is an important resource containing 7,153 books which are classified according to major areas of education and miscellaneous information; and national and international journals, periodicals, and CD-ROM. There is a separate section for reading specifically for the students’ use. It also has some well equipped laboratory facilities such as the Psychology Lab for the trainees of B.Ed and the Science Lab to get an acquaintance of the latest teaching aids. Due to increasing technological development, the college has provided a computer laboratory for Information Technology center. For the prosperity of the body, the college provides customers with sports amenities and a cafeteria for snacks. Also, transport facilities are also offered along with a health centre to support first aid for students’ comfort and welfare.
Gautam Buddha Teachers Training College offers two primary courses: Inclusive Education, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). They are both full time programmes that takes two years each.
Gautam Buddha Teachers Training College admission policy is introduction based on merit: marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The process of selection of particular candidate may further depend on the rules and regulation formulated by the State Government of Jharkhand as well as the particular university. For admission to the B.Ed programmes the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination, entrance test or any other test as laid down by the state government or university concerned shall be taken into consideration. In the same manner, in case of admission of students to the D.El.Ed programme, they are admitted according to merit depending upon the score obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as per Government of West Bengal/State Government/UT Administration rules and regulation.
