The Gauthami Degree College is a well-known college started in the year 1994 is situated at Nizamabad, Telangana state. Affiliated college for boys and girls, it has majority of undergraduate courses in science and commerce streams. Gauthami Degree College, established in 1986, is a self-finance institution with one acre campus area with 1,219 students and 21 members teaching faculty. The college currently offers 11 programmges of study spread across two principles, that is; There are two degree programmes offered in the college in such fields of specialisation as; Its dedication towards education is evident through its wide learning portfolios, and enhanced infrastructure.

From the above illustrated teaching learning facilities, it is clearly seen that Gauthami Degree College is well endowed with up-to -date teaching learning resources. Being one of the critical components of academic facilities, the library contains more than 4,000 volumes and 350 titles of books, weekly and monthly journals published in different disciplines. To provide the practical experience Gauthami Degree College has provided adequately equipped laboratories. Some of the apparatus’s used in the Chemistry Lab include the KIPPs apparatus and the analytical balances. The Electronics and Physics Lab is equipped with modern equipments including Cathode Ray Oscilloscopes, Microprocessor kits and Function generators. The Life Science Lab involves Botany and Zoology learning has facilities such as Hot air ovens, autoclaves, centrifuges. Thus to cater to these requirements the college has established a modern computer laboratory equipped with Pentium based computers and generally used software. Sports complex to support students’ physical growth are also found in the school. Also, it offers transport facilities for out station students so that students can easily avail this facility of education.

Gauthami Degree College has in total, 11 undergraduate programmes which are all regular. The college mainly offers B.Sc., and B.Com courses along with specialisation that suits the student community concerns. 

In admitting students at Gauthami Degree College, the admission process is as simple and particularly convenient for the students as possible. This college invites application for all its undergraduate courses offered in sciences and commerce faculties. B.Sc is offered in many different fields, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Statistics, Electronics, Botany and Zoology. For the professional stream, the college offers B.Com programmes with specialisation in general commerce and computer applications, for those who want to develop commercial bent of mind.
