Gayeshpur Government Polytechnic is located at Nadia in the Indian state of West Bengal. The college was established in 2016, and it has been an affiliated college approved by AICTE. It provided quality education in the field of engineering disciplines. It is situated on a spacious campus of 7.85 acres, with an enrolment of 420 students and a faculty strength of 19 students. Gayeshpur Government Polytechnic is currently running three full-time three years diploma courses to aspirant engineers in streams such as Civil, Mechanical, and Survey Engineering.

Gayeshpur Government Polytechnic works towards providing the right learning environment and all modern facilities to the students. In addition, a well-equipped library is provided for the students to refer to a sizeable stock of documents for educational purposes. Advanced equipment in the laboratories of each department supports practical learning exercises that constitute a critical component of technical education. A seminar hall is also provided to conduct various extracurricular activities as well as seminars. A cafeteria serves as a refreshment centre for the students. The college institute also takes care of the health of the students with a medical centre equipped with first-aid facilities. 

Gayeshpur Government Polytechnic provides single-focused, skill-based education by means of three full-time Diploma courses. The diploma courses provided by it are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Survey Engineering-an emphasis on which will help gain specialised knowledge in these high-demand areas.

The admission process is merit-based and the same premise is followed while undergoing the admission process of Gayeshpur Government Polytechnic. It is a condition that the potential students need to sit for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. The state-level examination, JEXPO, holds the aptitude and knowledge of the candidates in the concerned subjects so that the meritorious students alone get admitted to the polytechnic.
