George College, Sealdah, came into existence in 2001 as an affiliated college. This compact campus of 1 acre, with an enrolment of 1,118 students and a faculty strength of 49 members. It has expertise in departments like Media Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, and Vocational Studies, with a strength of 17 courses under 6 degree programs.

The college has several facilities to help develop all-round development in students. It has a library as the knowledge hub, where students have all the facilities for doing research and studies. All students are given sports facilities for physical well-being. The IT infrastructure in the college is very good; therefore, students get exposure to modern technology in their course pursuits. There is also a cafeteria on campus that meets the dietary needs for both staff and students. In the entire campus, Wi-Fi connectivity has been provided, which makes accessing online resources easier. Department-based laboratories are also present for the students to acquire practical experience in fields of study. It has a great auditorium where many events and seminars are held. The boys' and girls' hostels are available with comfortable and safe accommodation, spacious well-furnished rooms, and hygienic facilities.

George College runs a total of 17 courses that include traditional programs as well as vocational programs. The full-time undergraduate programs comprise BBA, BCA, and B.Sc in Media Science; several B.Voc programs in subjects like Medical Lab Technology, Banking Finance Services and Insurance, Beauty and Aesthetics, among others. It also offers a Post Graduation Program in Computer Science.

The admission process in George College, Sealdah adheres to the norms and guidelines framed by the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, earlier WBUT, and the management of the George Group of Colleges.
