Ghatal Government Polytechnic was established in 2016, and is one of the reputed technical institutions in Ghatal, Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. This affiliated college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, and it delivers quality education in engineering fields at the undergraduate level. The institute stretches over 5 acres with a total student strength of 396 and a faculty strength of 18 dedicated members. 

The Institute has several modern facilities to  the learning experience of the students. Ghatal Government Polytechnic imparts education with a focused curriculum through its three full-time diploma programs in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. All three programs are of a duration of three years each, where students shall be provided with a strong base in their respective disciplines.
