Gian Jyoti College of Education, Kangra: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Gian Jyoti College of Education, this College of Education was started in 2003 and currently is located in Rajol, Tehsil Shahpur situated in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. This co-educational college is an affiliated college accepted by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). This college takes to 241 students in total while they have a faculty of 31 members They offer multiple examinations such as B.Ed, D.El.Ed, BBA, and BCA. The management of the institute stands to give quality education in the specialised areas of teacher training and management of education in the area.

The college and the centre provide variety of learning resources that are aimed at improving the teaching and learning environment of the students. A knowledge centre in a well stocked library is complemented by an information technology centre, which has a computer laboratory with fifteen computers and Internet connection so that students may know the latest technology. Sports activity is also valued in the college, with the provision including a gym. For the purpose of practical training, there are teaching and psychological diagnostic laboratories with teaching and psychological diagnostic facilities. It also has an AC auditorium for conducting seminars, workshops, etc. and a cafeteria for taking snacks and beverages, and separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls for out-station students so that they may feel soft competitive environment in the campus.

All together, Gian Jyoti College of Education teaches four full-time courses in different streams. It has been approved to admit 230 students in total of all education programmes offered by the institute. 

The admission procedure of Gian Jyoti College of Education differs from one programme to the other. For the B.Ed programme, the admissions are given due to the performance in entrance examination conducted by H.P. University, Shimla. Most commonly, this test occurs in an MCQ format, with only a select number of questions that are filling system-related.
