GITAM School of Technology was set up in 2012 at Bengaluru, Karnakata and is a constituent college of the University called GITAM (Gandhi Institute of Technology& Management). Established in Nagadenehalli, Doddaballapur Taluk, Bengaluru Rural, Karnataka this institution has grown rapidly through the ranks to become a prominent technical education institution. The campus located on National Highway 207 provides undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees across the spectrum of engineering disciplines. Recognised by the AICTE with a faculty team of 322, GITAM Bengaluru can meet the quality education needs of the engineering aspirants. Currently, the institute consists of 18 courses including four degrees of Bachelor, Master, Dual-Degree and Integrated Degree programmes with specialisations in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.

To augment its academic mission, the institute currently possesses accutate and sophisticated facilities. The library equipped with all basic essentials and more is effective source of knowledge for students and faculty members. For those in enjoy the sports activities, the college offers ample opportunities and excellent equipments customers to make balance between the academics work and health. The information technology facilities, as well as communication and computing technology, are high quality to promote students’ technological literacy. GITAM Bengaluru also comprises well-equipped laboratories for practical learning and research point of views. It is also important as an auditorium where most occasions including seminars, takes place to enhance the students’ campus life. In order to facilitate the students having such issues the institute has separated hostel for providing the accommodation facilities for the boys and girls with most comfortable environments. Furthermore, there is the provision of transport for students and members of staff in college thus easy transportation.

GITAM School of Technology located at Bangalore offers 22 full time courses in different levels of studies. The institute offers 11 undergraduate, two postgraduate, five doctoral and one MBA course. 

GITAM School of Technology, Bengaluru, uses the GITAM Admission Test (GITAM GAT) as the main entry point into most programmes. For undergraduate programmes, students are conducted through GAT/UGTP (Undergraduate Test Programme). The institute also uses the GATE scores for certain postgraduate admissions as mentioned below. The MBA programme, therefore, admits students in a different way from the rest of the programs in the university.
