Gitanjali Teacher’s Training College is a co-educational institution of higher learning founded in 2012 depending at Berhampore, West Bengal. The main objective of the college is to prepare future teachers in their careers. This affiliated college is situated at Murshidabad, West Bengal Eligibility Code: 127 Restricted Affiliated –approved by NCTE. Located on a mere 0.99 acres, the college offers two teaching specialisations with an overall student enrolment of 177 student. The faculty of the institute comprises 15 members only, affording a desired student teacher ratio. Gitanjali Teacher’s Training College (GTTC) offers two traditional degree programmes that equip prospective teachers with efficient approaches to elementary and a [second] degree programme to teach at junior classes.

The college will strive to avail many facilities to the students in order to improve teaching and learning processes. This full equipped academic library has over 6,733 books and 18 journals, closely providing readers a comfortable and a quiet setting for study and research. I am really impressed with the general IT infrastructure; the school boasts of a modern computer lab with twenty one computers and latest software installed; ICT and other educational technologies is well incorporated in the curriculum. Concerning bodily development, the college provides facilities in indoor and outdoor games and equipment in carom, badminton, chess, cricket, volley ball, football etc. Science lovers are facilitated with good stocked laboratories with apparatus for physics, chemistry and biology practicals. The auditorium is a 250-seat multipurpose facility, which also is the main venue for college activities, assembly, and other students’ events. Some of the other facilites include internet connection, 20 mbps, total wi-fi connection, a health centre with first aid facilities, canteen (veg & Non-Veg), ventilated classrooms, modern gymnasium, training & placement cells, seminar halls, attdendance procedings.

Gitanjali Teacher's Training College offers two full-time courses: the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). 

The following policy is followed while admitting students to the Gitanjali Teacher’s Training College For admission to the Gitanjali Teacher’s Training College the higher marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and/ or entrance tests in accordance with the policy of the state government and the affiliated university are taken into consideration. For the D.El.Ed programme, candidates are considered through marks obtained in the qualifying examination or through a system decided by the state government.
