The campus is very big and has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment required - from sports to the Bloomberg terminal. There's WiFi accessibility everywhere and the hostels are super clean.
The course and curriculum can sometimes feel a bit heavy but they are taught well. Professors often use assignments, group work and activities to bring another way of learning which has helped a lot. Although, there are always some imperfections, I feel like the academics are relevant and will help me in the future.
The placement scenario has been getting better, a lot of good companies come to the campus to hire and everyone gets opportunities. The college has a dedicated student body for placements and they are supportive as well.
The fees is a bit steep but the infrastructure and facilities provided make it worth the money. There are a lot of club led fun activities that happen that keeps everyone engaged. I feel like it's worth the money but concessions can be made.
The campus life is amazing. It is a residential program so you have to stay on campus. There are a lot of things to do, sports, library, swimming etc. Everything is available. There's a doctor on the campus as well for any emergencies.
Very good infrastructure. Has everything. The class rooms are well equipped and there is amazing facilities for extra curricular. The librarian are upto date and the institute caters to all kinds of students.
Syllabus is upto date . Faculty can be better , some are good. Some are horrible . Teaching pedagogy is good most of the time . They syllabus makes you job ready although there can be a more practical approach
Placements are good if you work hard for it .. the placement team is also very hardworking It is intimidating initially but it all works out I have seen that the college works hard for placement and that's a good sign
Infrastructure is really good, we have the best equipments and lab present on the campus, for one of the market research project i got access to using eye tracking device which i could use to understand the curiosity of the clients towards my advertisements. Everything seems to be nice, from hygeine to food, on point
Academic is taken very seriously and it is balanced well with extra curricular activities which helps students to collaborate and upskill themselves at the same time. Faculties are really really nice who are approachable
The placement activity is taken care by the students and it is going really good so far, so far I haven't noticed any sort of bias or favoritism. Gim is very honest when it comes to their placement report and there is no inflation
I think the fees is way too high for students coming from middle class background, when compared to the average package offered, it is not a really good ROI as the students are under alot of burden if they have taken any student loan
One of the best campus life so far, whether it is 10am or 2am, the campus stays alive, it motivates you to really work hard on yourself with so many facilities present. The seniors are amazing and their is an environment to help people around which is the core strength of gim where everyone wants to grow with each other
Great infrastructure with all the facilities and essentials that are needed. Hostels are very good and Health club’s facilities for food is the best part of my college. Would suggest students to join HEALTH CLUB rather than other clubs in the college
Learning experiences are excellent but some faculties sucks and they are very strict. Rules and regulations are very important in GIM so if you are a person who’s lazy, i would rather suggest not to join this college
Internship placements are not good enougb for big data analytics but final placement reports are good and i hope we can get good placements in the last term. Isse zyada mat likhwao bhai please haath jodta hu
Average
Excellent
The campus is very beautiful, with all amenities available around me like gym, swimming pool, basketball court, tennis court, Football field, cricket ground, Badminton, table tennis and carrom and other sports.
Little challenging but it provides you with great inclass and out class activities to study, we have holistic approach for classes which is nice and gives experential learning experience overall in this college.
They teach you with all every ready skills that are necessary for the corporate world, also make sure you're ready to enter as a professional and suits the recruiters in what would be best for you as a manager.
Definitely, it's perfect here on campus. You make friends who then turn out to be your family and then enjoy every bit of it. I will definitely miss my campus life here at GIM.
It is a lot of fun, a lot of activities and events happen on campus and there is absolutely no rest. That's why the GIM tagline says 'GIM never sleeps'. It is definitly a beautiful journey.
I love the life that I am living on campus here with amazing teachers and faculty around campus. It's an experience everyone should definitely have once in their lifetime. You get to experience world class campus life and amenities around here, with extensive menu and facilities. It's lovely.
My first year of Goa Institute Management was great with great infrastructure and faculty guide, there is always new things happening after class, the engaging environment wont make your GIM life boring, the clubs here are great with lot of events happening.
Talking about academics, they follow what most top B school do the, the books are the same, coking to faculty they are great with deep subject knowledge, which will help us for case studies comp. The first year will be mix of all the major subjects giving you idea of all
Placement here at GIM is good, the average here is 15-16 and SIP is fine, Final placement they make you well prepared for all the companies, case comps will give you better placement thats for sure, so if you are planning to get in top companies case comp is the way.
Value for money would be yeah fine, taking infrastructure into consideration and the facilities given, yes its great you have everything here, talking about placement it can be better comparing to what we are paying, but in long term i believe GIM going to be great.
Campus life is great with all the amenities given, you have swimming pool here which most of the top b school doesn’t have, full equipped sports facilities, even if you dont know that sport i bet you can learn it here, hostel is great first year you will get twin sharing and second year single sharing, Food i would say it depends, you have all the options
The infrastructure is okay but some improvements can be done, sports facilities can be better. Introduce a sports auditorium/complex. Multi purpose hall is over utilised and cannot serve every activity together.
Academics are okay. Faculty is good, academics is competitive. Relative grading can be good and bad both. SLRI subject should not have relative grading. Tuition fees should be way less. Classes are good.
Placements are okayish. Summer placements were not great. Final placements were fine. Mostly finance companies then sales companies come. Shortlisting should be better. Should have a whole placement week rather than throughout the year.

Yes, Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is generally considered a value-for-money B-school, especially for students seeking strong academic rigor, diverse programs, and high
Campus life at Goa Institute of Management (GIM) is vibrant and enriching. Set amidst lush greenery, the 50-acre campus offers a serene environment conducive to learning and personal growth
AC is not there in college. The college has very bad paint, it should be replainted again. Students required ramp as in where wheelchair can be used for there convenience. Less food and basic needs on campus
It's okayish because students are distributed on the basis of there percentiles and student teacher have no direct interaction , tho all topics are majorly covered but practically is still lacking in the subjects.
My god there is a high need of placement committee from outside so that all the companies can come because college is far not big city nearby its a whole mess. Teachers should be looking into the process too.
Just Bad
The campus is huge. The required facilities are available on campus - though anything you don't find on campus is readily available in the village nearby. The classrooms are great and the library is well stocked. The living spaces are well maintained and the food is good as well.
PGDM in management - core. The curriculum includes a lot of case studies and includes recent developments as well. The quality of teaching is okay but the faculty prioritizes attendance over everything else.
The placement team is wonderful and try their best with placements. The companies are many and do end up picking up people from all specializations. The process is stringent and very mentally taxing through no fault from the college side though. - 100% placement.
The facilities are worth the money - 25 L for the full 2 years. There are many tiny fees you'll have to pay though. Be advised. I feel I am getting my money's worth especially with all the talks, the opportunity to study abroad etc.
The students start feeling like family very soon - for better or for worse. There's at least 2 events every month and provide a great opportunity to make friends and have fun. Parties are organized by college clubs. The social life is intense and everyone is included. The student clubs also provide amazing learning and socializing opportunities.
Hii,
If banking, finance, and insurance are of interest to you, pick GIM Goa (BFSI); it has a strong brand and excellent industry connections.
If you enjoy managing factories, supply chains, or logistics, SIOM Nashik (Operations) is the best option. It's a specialized field with excellent operations.
Overall, IMI Bhubaneswar (PGDM) is respectable, but not as good as SIOM or GIM.
GIM Goa (BFSI) is the best choice overall because of its superior brand, placements, and potential for expansion.
SIOM Nashik is the best for operations only.
Hello,
Studying MBA Finance from NIA Pune or NIBM Pune can be valuable if you aim to specialize in insurance, banking, or financial services. These institutes focus on niche domains, offering strong industry connections, sector-specific curriculum, and placement opportunities in reputed organizations within their respective fields. However, if you're looking for broader career prospects and better brand recognition, GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa may be better choices. Both are well-regarded for their comprehensive programs, diverse peer groups, and strong placement records across various sectors.
