Mind blowing and sick infrastructure I've ever seen. College possess all the modern and premium quality stuff for students' use. Classrooms have smart board, and high-speed internet access too. Other than that we have a big auditorium and every possible sports facility in the premises.
I am a student of post graduate diploma in management here, the quality of academics here is of world class. Some foreign lecturers also came to guide us. Our lecturers are also very amazing. Curriculum is up to date.
Placement of GIM is record breaking. it's competition is with IIMs and IITs. Average placement offers between 9-11 lakhs and highest was 29 Lakhs. It's has a history of placement of it's 100% students.
I had to finance my Post graduate diploma in management program so it costs me 19.50 lakhs for two years. It's little expensive though it gives me a sense of Value for my money.
Campus life here is the best ❤️. Here we get exposure to various extracurricular activities like archery. Athletics, entertainment, and learning and development. Our college has all the possible sports facility and all are well established. The location of the college is good and everything is near.
The college has all the required facilities and equipment and also a great infrastructure. The facilities provided in the classrooms are wifi, whiteboard with a projector and sound system and also central air conditioning. There is a dedicated team of workers who work round the clock to keep the spaces clean regularly on hourly basis and also the food is very hygienic.
I am study the healthcare management programme, as I did my under graduation in Homeopathy. I felt the need of updating myself into the management field as I can understand the environment better being a medico. The quality of teaching is excellent as faculty never portrays them as rigid faculty but are more friendly in nature and are available round the clock be it mails or calls, they always respond immediately. The curriculum is well updated and includes the developments which are required.
The quality of the placements are really good. There is a dedicated placement team and a placement chair. The team very well ensures about the preparations also for the placements and are helpful for any kind of help.
Each and every rupee spent on this course is worth. Because there is so much of learning that never stops.
The college campus is worth to be lived in. Admist the mountains the campus is very much near to the nature and there is a lot of freshness and positive vibe in the atmosphere. There are lots of clubs and societies which helds some or the other competitions for the students engagement. The location is very safe and also there are physicians who visit campus everyday.
Overall Infrastructure is good. All necessary equipments are present. Different sports facilities available. WiFi enabled campus. Classrooms could be better. Other than that college infrastructure is good.
I am a student of pgpm. My major is finance and minors is marketing. The faculty of the college is average. The curriculum is theory oriented. Number of case studies could be more. Overall there is scope of improvement.
Placements are average compared to the amount of fees taken by the college. Mean package of final year students is less compared to what the college claims. Many students are placed in start up companies.
Very less value for money. Too many unnecessary charges.
Campus life is good but less interaction with outside corporate world.
Expensive but good b school
We have everything that is necessary, present on campus. Infrastructure includes Airconditioned classrooms, spacious hostels, swimming pool, gymnasium, wifi everywhere, 24hrs library, a big cafeteria.
I am a healthcare management student at GIM and with regards to the curriculum, I am much satisfied as the courses included are combination of aspects of healthcare and MBA both, and the faculty present here are equally talented.
decent placements with good ROI, good if you want to start your career in health industry, however if you already have experience in health industry and pursuing mba for better positions, then would need to search jobs as per aspirations outside as well.
Apart from the necessary stuff, infrastructure/facilities/equipment are there to cover your "wants" too. So, both "need" & "want" get covered. Separate sports ground for tennis, basketball, football, cricket, gym etc
PGDM Finance and Marketing. Top notch quality of teaching . Thanks to teachers'aught in IVY Leagues to former employee's of RBI. They are able to support the curriculum which makes us Job ready. teachers'
College is supportive during the placement process and 100% placement is what you get in GIM with highest salary going as high as 23+lpa and not just high salary the job roles are great too. And the networking, with batchmates, seniors, alumni, alumnae helps a lot.
Yes, getting our money's worth
Best feature : Batchmates, seniors, alumna & alumnae make the life worthwhile, during MBA and post MBA. Networking helps you climb the professional career ladder fast. Great location with top notch infrastructure, facility and equipments
No, everything has been shared earlier.
The college is infrastructure wise very big and pretty. It is a 50 acre campus. There are lot if trees. There are 9 hostels. Twin rooms as well as single amd also ac rooms for medical emergency. Seperate bathrooms.
Teachers are good and the course has variety subject. The professor's are very professional and they are very Cooperative they will help you whenever you approach them the courses are widely accepted for Healthcare and will teach you all the basic and advanced knowledge.
Overall good. Placement scenario is very good 100% placement is available in every bad the minimum salary is around 600000 the maximum goes up to 20 lakhs. the placements are exactly as promised on the placements are exactly as promised on the brochure .
A little expensive lifestyle.
Best campus life.
Love it.
GIM is one of the best B-school campuses in India with world-class infrastructure. It has all the facilities for the students a residential campus should be having. Most importantly the hostel food is comparatively good.
I have completed the PGDM Healthcare Management program of GIM in 2020. This program is considered as the best Healthcare Management course in the country where students come from very diverse backgrounds including B.Tech, BBA graduates apart from the Doctors and Pharma, and other medical graduates. The curriculum is well updated with vast industry exposure.
The quality of placements at GIM is impressive and it is getting better over the years. PGDM being the flagship course attracts recruiters from all over the industry almost. PGDM Healthcare is a new program but it has already attracted prominent recruiters from various domains of the healthcare industry and placements are improving every year.
GIM is a good value for money among the tier two b-schools in India for its outstanding infrastructure, campus life, good placements. Recently it has started PGDM in Big Data Analytics which is already creating a lot of buzzes among the industry recruiters.
This is the best thing about GIM. It is known as 'God's own campus' as it is established in nature's lap where you can feel the beauty of western ghat and clouds all over it in the morning from your own hostel room. It is a heavenly experience!
Most importantly if you join GIM it will be two years in GOA which is really fascinating. GIM is known for it's Give Goa initiatives where every Thursday students of GIM visit various NGOs, orphanages, schools, etc. and work for them with social causes with the motto of giving back to the Goan community which is very close to my heart as a proud alumnus.
GIM has one of the best Infrastructure. It has a state of the art library, tennis, basketball court, gymnasium, individual Wi-fi in hostels and a reasonably good food in cafetaria. A dedicated Finance lab with Thomson Reuters and live stock market index are there. However, since new courses are added, library needs to be expanded. Also, a dedicated Auditorium is required as Multi Purpose Hall gets blocked for big functions
The pedagogy includes a mix of Case Study and Experiential learning through activities. Case studies used in Harvard and other top B Schools are used. Industry talks and guest lectures happen regularly. Industry visits especially for Marketing people can be done. Since many Sales Manager roles come, this could be included in the curriculum. Also, more focus on Excel and Analytics can be made. Some Professors are extremely good, some will be average, although everyone come from top colleges.
The placement figures in the reports published are genuine. The Placecom team is unbiased, supportive and doesn't do favours to their friends like in other B-Schools. Top companies like RIL, JPMG, EY, Texas Instruments, Signify, Barclays, Infosys, Mahindra come to the campus. Details can be found the the report published. This year, apart from 2 students who opted out due to family business, all got placed in good companies. The average was 11.7 LPA with a very good median of 11.4 LPA.
The course will cost around 18-20 for 2 year. Add 2-3 lakh more on your personal expenses. You'll get an ROI after 2-2.5 year considering the average package.
Located at Sahyadri Hills in Western Ghats, it's one of the most beautiful campus in India. The college is always buzzing with lots of club and recreational activities in sports and courts. Students wil always be busy. There are nice places to sit down and eat at the midnight. Cleaning services and guards are very cooperative. The campus is a little isolated but there are lots of scenic spots available nearby and many new restaurants/cafes are coming up in the town.
Life at GIM will be a roller coaster ride. You need to be immersed in it fully to relish it. At times it will be very tough and at certain times, it will be smooth sailing you won't even realize. We work hard and party hard. I have had few ups and downs. But, got placed in a FMCG sector which I wanted at a reasonable package.
The college has state of the art facilities in a sprawling 50 acres campus. Also there is an newly developed start up incubation centre which is very unique to goa institute of management. Hostel facilities are clean and hygienic.
There is a healthy mix of full time professors and visiting faculties which keep the learning environment dynamic and up to date. Guest lecturers are mostly from industry. Also the curriculum and specialization offered gets updated every year unlike many other colleges
Many have got more than one offers in the 2019 and 2020 batches. A prospective candidate can believe the figures published by gim year on year as their median or average or highest. Unlike many othercolleges (symbiosis, imi to name a few among the most prominent ones) gim does not fudge numbers.
Yes. There is a scholarship scheme too for meritorious students who have a diverse profile (although I do not know how CVs are shortlisted for this scholarship round). But any aspirant should fill up the application form really well. Make sure you highlight your experience or extra curricular if any. It is called the achiever's round.
The campus life itself offers a scope of peer learning. There is a diverse mix of people from almost every state of India as well as students are both freshers and experienced. Also the male female ratio is +- 50% each year.
Gim is an experience which prepares you for the life ahead. Having a batch size of 250 approx and with an alumni base which is 25+ year plus, it is a global network of closely knit people. Even after college, the relationships you built here stays with you for a long long time.
We have clean, air-conditioned classes with all the infrastructural requirement. Separate study rooms for students. Wifi is also available with good connectivity in both campus and the hostel. The cafeteria is also well- maintained and clean.
We have been taught the subjects which are definitely going to help us in future. Be it subjects like epidemiology teaching us the changing scenarios due to COVID-19 or subjects like analytics, giving us exposure to tools used in the working world.
The placement reports so far have been satisfactory. Major healthcare companies have been associated with our college be it Medtronics, Narayana Health etc. Theirs been 100% placement for our seniors.
MBA is an expensive course. Matching value for money currently would be a difficult thing but in long term aspect this is definitely a worthwhile course.
The student clubs, activities, competitions everything adds up to the student engagement. We have enough opportunities to engage with both students and the faculty. The place is completely safe and we have our student advisory council to handle any sort of emergencies.
Hello,
Studying MBA Finance from NIA Pune or NIBM Pune can be valuable if you aim to specialize in insurance, banking, or financial services. These institutes focus on niche domains, offering strong industry connections, sector-specific curriculum, and placement opportunities in reputed organizations within their respective fields. However, if you're looking for broader career prospects and better brand recognition, GLIM Chennai or GIM Goa may be better choices. Both are well-regarded for their comprehensive programs, diverse peer groups, and strong placement records across various sectors.
