Gopabandhu Institute of Medical Science and Research School College of Nursing situated at Athagarh which was established in the year of 2018 is one of the leading nursing education institution in Cuttack city of Odisha. This co-educational institute located on a forty-acre piece of land is an affiliated college with INDIAN NURSING COUNCIL (INC). An enrolment capacity of total 50 students and The faculty of 8 teachers it provided 4 courses across two degree programs in Vietnam and specializes in different branches of nursing. 

The opportunities and the institute provides various assessment tools to support the educational process and the students. A good library inventory is a rich source of literature containing many books files, journals, and reference documents in relation to nursing and health. The campus also has relatively comfortable hostels for boys and girls with the added amenities which include smart TVs and games. The institute also has a mess facility for its students with two options of meals being vegetarian or non-vegetarian. For practical training, to facilitate the student, the college possesses the department-based laboratories. The Gopabandhu Institute of Medical Science and Research School College of Nursing provides total four full time nursing courses. These are B.Sc Nursing (4 years), Post B.Sc Nursing (2 years), Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery, GNM (3 years) courses . Total sanctioned intake of the institute is 70 which distributes in all programs, where 30 for ANM and 40 for GNF.
