Gopal Ramalingam Memorial Engineering College (GRMEC) was started in the year 2008 and it is affiliated college situated at Rajeswari Nagar, Panapakkam near Padappai, Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. This institution provides engineering education, particularly in skills and the knowledge that is applicable to the market. At present, the university offers two undergraduate programmes in engineering and has 36 committed professors. The college tries to uphold an acceptable level of quality in certain niche areas it focuses on.

The college makes sure that the campus is well structured with facilities that will improve both the learning and development of the students. GRMEC provides the hostel facilities for boys and girls separately to make the living environment more comfortable for outstation students. The college library is a reference centre where students are exposed to learned individual and various academic resources. Well-equipped laboratories as per the modern facility are available in colleges to replace the theoretical knowledge with the practical experiences of the engineering students. As for the co-curricular activities, the college has a splendid auditorium where seminar and cultural fest takes place. For their feeding needs, students get to have a cafeteria and to attend to their health needs they can visit the institution’s health centre complete with a first-aid section. These features are complemented with exceptionally built IT facilities and various sports facilities within the campus to support all round learning.

GRMEC offers two full-time Bachelor of Engineering courses: Mechanical engineering and Aeronautical engineering are two closest branches of engineering sciences. Each of the programmes takes four years to complete and educate students in their respective specialization.
