Goreswar College, Baksa,  and that was the last decade of this prominent college of Goreswar, Assam in the field of undergraduate courses within the arts, commerce and science streams. The admission process of the college is purely based on merit admission as the college verifies a student's performance in the qualifying examinations.  This admission cycle has to be in tune with the academic calendar, and applications usually open after the announcement of 10+2 results in the month thereafter.

Eligibility criteria for admission are usually that the candidates have successfully completed their 10+2 from any recognised board. 3. Form Filling: The applicant must fill the application form accurately with correct personal as well as academic details.

  • Marksheets of 10th and 12th standard examinations
  • Pass certificates of 10th and 12th standard
  • Character certificate from the last attended institution
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs

5. Submission of Application: Prepared application forms together with all required documents must be submitted to the college admission office before the last date mentioned.

6. Merit List: Based on the performance of candidates in qualifying examinations, the college prepares and publishes merit lists.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts): Goreswar College presents numerous B.A. Honours programs, including programs in Bodo, Assamese, Education, Political Science, Philosophy, English, Economics, and History. Specific to each program, the capacity for intake is as follows:

  1. B.A. Bodo Hons: 80 seats are available
  2. B.A. Assamese Hons, Education Hons, Political Science Hons, Philosophy Hons: 70 seats each
  3. B.A. English Hons, Economics Hons, History Hons: 60 seats each

Admission will be under merit basis with the evaluation of candidates through qualifying examination.

B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science): The college has B.Sc. Honours subjects in Computer Science, Zoology, Mathematics, Botany, Physics, and Chemistry. The intake of these subjects is 50 seats each. Admission is on merit basis and it includes consideration of the candidate's performance in science subjects in his 10+2 examination.

B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): B.Com. Honours courses offered by Goreswar College are in areas of Finance, Accountancy, Human Resource Management, and Marketing Management. The intake capacity is 30. Admission is strictly on merit depending on overall performance and marks obtained in commerce-related subjects in students' 10+2 examinations.
