Affiliated Government Acharya Sanskrit College, Kotkasim commenced its journey in the year 1972 is located at Alwar, Rajasthan. This institution has primary focus on Sanskrit education and was a quite suitable environment for students who decided to learn classical language of India and its cultural significance. IOB current total enrolment of student strength is 427 and has total faculty strength of 7 members it is situated in a campus area of 0.44 acres. The college provides only one degree course, BA Shastri which is a regular course that runs up to three years.

In ensuring that the students get the best out of their college experience Government Acharya Sanskrit College is prepared to avail basic amenities to the students. Library, as an essential part of the centre is very valuable with nearly 6,000 books out of which there are many general as well as reference books including volumes on Sanskrit, Sanskrit grammar and other languages too. The work may therefore be viewed as a useful tool in helping students in the pursue of their studies in Sanskrit. Also in physical recreation and health there is a playground in the college where students can freely play volley ball, kho-kho, badminton, and other games including kabaddi. They include infrastructures that complement the educational systems and prepares the children every academic process both mentally and physically. Further there are other building facilities available with the college; it has great IT resources and each student gets the opportunity to use updated IT facilities for learning and research purposes.

Government Acharya Sanskrit College in Kotkasim provides a well-directed academic curriculum with major focus on the concept of BA Shastri. This is a three-year course and the degree offered targets a full time mastery of Sanskrit both in the language itself and its related literature and culture. As of now, the college only provides one course; however, the quality education for its focused area is evident.
