The Government Autonomous Ayurveda College and Hospital is found at Gwalior and was set up in 1916 so the college has an exceedingly ancient background and offers conventional Ayurvedic treatment. It has been co-educational college located in amkho lashkar gwalior madhya pardesh spread in 36.73 acre. As an affiliated college, it offers two specialised degree programmes: The present study was taken from BAMS and MD in Kriya Sharir educated persons. The institute offers the students enrolment capacity of 330 with 32 faculty members offering a specific training for those students who are intending to become the Ayurvedic practitioner. Due to its passion for promoting and furthering conventional Indian pharmaceuticals, the college plays a crucial role in Ayurvedic learning.
The Government Autonomous Ayurveda College and Hospital is equipped with various necessary facilities for the Students Academics and health Emolument. It has a collection of more than thirteen thousand five hundred books including the books on Ayurveda and Modern Medicines and subscribed to fifteen numbers of National and International journals. It also avails a book bank facility along with a vast area of the reading hall. boys’ and girls’ hostels are provided on the campus to accommodate 25 boys and girls each are available on the campus. The college is affiliated to a fully functional hospital offering students with real life experience on patient handling. Individual constructed laboratories present highly developed apparatus for distinctive departments, thus providing the students with various practical opportunities. The institution also provides it infrastructure, a facility for events such as seminars and an athletic centre to meet the all rounded education provision needs.
The college offers two full-time courses: The BAMS and the MD in Kriya Sharir courses are recognised within the University. With an approved strength of 75 students, the BAMS programme which is the foundation of Ayurveda education, is a six-year course. For students who intend to take a higher learning, the institute provides 5 seats for the MD in Kriya Sharir course which is offered for three calendar years. These two programmes attract a total of 330 intake for the institute offering Ayurvedic education at all possible levels: undergraduate and postgraduate.

This option applies to the BAMS programme whereby admissions are done based on a national entrance test called the NEET, the medical entrance exam.
