The Government Autonomous Girls PG College of Excellence, Sagar, was set up in 1974 and is one of the premier autonomous colleges affiliated to Madhya Pradesh. Located close to the bus stand, Krishnaganj Ward, this women’s college is providing educational facility to female students for almost five decades. It provides a large choice of programmes for majors; there are 39 courses that fall under 10 types of degrees, and the choice meets different students’ needs and goals.

The campus has the necessary amenities of a modern institution with amenities to support good learning environment for its students. Student turnover at the college is large, as was seen in the example of Bachelor of Arts with 1200 intakes, Bachelor of Commerce Commerce with 625 intakes, and Bachelors of Science in Botany, Chemistry, and Zoology with 375 intakes. The institute also provides some of the courses like B.Sc Home Science and M.Sc Home Science with majors in Food and Nutrition and Human Development.
