Apart from established schools and colleges, we take the case of the Government Boys College Chintamani (GBC Chintamani) in Chikkaballapura, Karnataka. As an affiliated college established in 1965, this college has been offering its services to the public for more than fifty years. The campus itself is 2.25 acres and delivers 12 subjects across 7 degrees. With a total enrolment of 1,005 students, the college maintains a student-faculty ratio of approximately 63:1. GBC Chintamani has got the memberships with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which gives quality education. The institute has a total of 943 male students and 58 female students and equally provides undergraduates and postgraduates. The establishment of this college has also ensured quality academic education through provision of various courses and accreditation of sixteen faculty members.

Government Boys College unveils the following essential facilities to support student centred learning environment. Sukkur IUB fresh library was setup in 1965 and currently contain total 47312 books, 30 magazine/journals and 20 newspapers. This has a wide variety of resources, such as encyclopedias, statistics, and project reports which meet the academic requirements of the learners and faculty members. Science departments of the college also benefit from well outfitted and equipped laboratories for practical sessions. At students’ disposal, there is a canteen on an educational facility’s territory. It’s aware of the need for the body to be active, and has facilities for fitness; there is a gym and sports area. Furthermore, the college has enhanced the use of Information Technology with regard to tendering for the new, efficient and well equipped IT facilities for digital learning. A well-functional alumni association assists in keeping the connection between current and previous learners alive and connecting the learners with the relevant contacts.

At present the college teaches a wide spectrum of programmes where in it provides 9 programmes for undergraduates and 3 programmes for postgraduate degree. The Bachelors programmes include those in Scince, commerce and arts Stream while the Masters programmes include MA in Kannada, M.Com and M.Sc in Physics. All courses are daytime only and award students a strong base of theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills in their field of study. The total student intake capacity is 1005, out of which 904 are in undergraduate programmes and 97 in post graduate programmes. It means that students can select different courses for a lifetime that will be in line with dreams or visions on the type of jobs to do.
