Government College, Kota, was established in 1945 and is situated in Nayapura Kota Rajasthan. It is one of the most reputable colleges. This affiliated college is NAAC accredited and it has been preparing students for the future for over seven decades. Situated on thirty acres of land, the college offers fifteen programmes at four levels of degrees for 2,540 total students. It has 56 committed members of faculty and a small class size makes sure that the right ratio of students per teacher. Government College, Kota, being institution delivering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, has emerged as one of the leading institution for higher education especially in science in the region.

Government College, Kota, boasts of having all round facilities that supplement the learning needs of the college students. At present, the Government College, located in Kota, delivers fifteen courses that are available at different levels of studies. 2 programmes are offered in undergraduate level, 5 in postgraduate level, 3 M.Phil level and 5 PhD level programmes offered mostly in the field of sciences. Of all the students, 84 % are taking undergraduate programmes while the remaining 16 % are in post graduate programmes.
