Government College, Meham was established in the year 1981 and stands as one of the forefront colleges in Meham, Haryana. The affiliated college, covering an area of 25 acres, has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The Government College Meham enlists a total of 2,243 students in the college campus along with a total of 19 faculty members. The college provides a variety of undergraduate courses in the streams of arts, science, and commerce. Presently, the institution offers five degree courses, catering to different academic interests and career aspirations. Besides, the college has a number of infrastructural facilities facilitating the students in their learning processes.

While all these amenities are available at the hub of the well-equipped library, one finds a plethora of information available with 21,669 books through digital facilities. The library is completely automated through SOUL II software. Knowledge of all types is at the fingertips of the students. Available sports facilities include a large sports ground well-maintained, basketball court, volleyball and football courts, badminton court, and a 400 meters track. Well-equipped laboratories for practical work, health centre with first-aid facility, and a multi-purpose auditorium for events and seminars are also available in the college campus. Government College Meham, therefore, has a total of five full-time undergraduate courses on offer, hence allowing the students to pursue diverse interest-based academic fields. These programs have been set with an aim to make sure students are equipped with relevant knowledge that develops their skills for career employment or higher education.                                 

Proof lies in the range of courses being offered in the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams. Government College, Meham follows a merit-based admission policy. A merit list is prepared by the college in accordance with the merit of candidates applying for different courses that this institution runs.
