The Government College at Merta City was founded in the vintage year of 1996, situated in the Nagaur District of Rajasthan, India. This affiliated college, located in a campus of 30 acres of land is the pioneer educational institution in the region serving the academic needs of this area for the last two decades. NAAC accredited and this would mean that the college has kept to the standards required of it in the education sector. Government College, Merta City found at Rajasthan currently enrolls with 1,518 students and 11 faculty members of the institution offers wide undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in multiple fields.

It is equipped with numerous infrastructures that seek to enrich and complement provision of education to the college students. Government College, Merta City provides its students with a total of six different kind of courses including academic subjects and vocational courses. These include three undergraduate programmes: Programmes include the; Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) – all taking three years. For those seeking advanced studies, the college provides three postgraduate options. 

The two year postgraduate programmes included, Master of Arts in Political Science (MA Political Science), Master of Science in Zoology ( M.Sc Zoology) and Master of Commerce in Economic Administration and Financial Management ( M.Com EAFM). All courses are registered under full time basis so as to enable the students to devote their time in their area of specialisation.
